The new Vltor Lower Receiver Assembley is machined from a 7075 forging, it is marked with the well known Vltor "V" and Gladius on the right side of the magazine well. The Vltor lower receiver also features unique grip enhancing cuts on the front of the magazine well, an oversized mag release button and the Vltor "side saddle" sling plate - featuring three positions to mount a quick disconnect sling swivel. The lower receiver comes complete with a Vltor receiver extension tube, standard carbine buffer, spring and A2 grip.
Note: This item requires and FFL to purchase. The oversize magazine button and sling plate are proprietary and require machining of the lower receiver to fit - these parts will not work on a conventional lower receiver.

The A5 recoil system is one of the most exciting things to happen to the AR' family in quite a while. The Vltor lower with A5 recoil system is most definitely the way to go! And what a great lower! Great attention to detail, perfect color, excellent machining, monster mag release, built-in QD sling points (3!!!), and nicely flared mag well. Customers are asking how I got the stock trigger so crisp, but that's just the way they're coming in. It's definitely the best stock mil-spec type trigger I've encountered, ever.

VLTOR makes the best upper receivers on the market. Their lowers are great as well. Gritty trigger? What do you expect with a standard mil-spec trigger? If you want a good trigger you have to go with an aftermarket one anyway.

I just got my Vltor lower in the other day to match up with my MUR-1 upper. Overall I am very happy with it, although I do have to agree with the 1st post about the trigger. It does have a little creep in it and kind of a gritty feel. Luckily I was already planning to put a after market drop in CMC trigger in it and that took care of that. The rest of it is great and u really like the over sized mag release and style of it.

The receiver itself is great, and the end plate is a neat feature. The grip cuts in front of the magazine well is very appealing to the eye. The bad part is the trigger assembly is terrible, with too much creep. If it would have come with a quality trigger, I would have given it 5 stars.
